WWW 1: Police seized computers, cell phones Nizar

Johor police operation to search three offices Nizar respectively in Ipoh, Bukit Gantang and Pasir Panjang.

Member of Parliament for Bukit Gantang Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin told her three things had been taken by the Police Johor yesterday.

It is an office computer, laptop and mobile phone taken during a search operation in three of three different places.

Action of the search is believed to be related to the issue of Mohammad Nizar Twitter messages on the results of the bid registration numbers WWW 1.

However, during operation, Nizar is not in all places as still in the capital to attend Parliament.

He only knew the situation when contacted by one of his children who informed him there were several police officers to patrol in the vicinity of his home in River Rokam here.

Operation, which began at about 11:30 am yesterday was made in the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) Office of the State, Central Member of Parliament for Bukit Gantang Service, Service Centre Dun Taiping and Pasir Panjang, Lumut.

The same action is made on his residence in River Rokam.

Follower comments in Facebook: Harakahdaily receive a warning MCMC

Harakahdaily receive a warning letter from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), which resulted in writing a Facebook Follower of his comments allegedly insulted the kings.

According to a letter from the New Media Unit, Department of Supervision and Management of the MCMC, the writings of the followers of Harakahdaily Facebook is contrary to Section 211 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 (Act 588).

The Act stipulates that the provision of content which is indecent, obscene, false, menacing or offensive in character with intent to harass, abuse, threaten or harass any person is an offense.

If found guilty, the content provider to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both and also to a further fine of one thousand ringgit for each day or part of a day the offense continues after conviction.

"As a result, behalf of owner was asked to take note of the above provisions and to ensure that your portal content does not violate the provisions.

"The Commission will continue to monitor this site so that it does not exceed the limits set out and a field trial that is healthy and ethically," said the letter to Harakahdaily.

According to a warning letter from the Commission, the Harakahdaily are guilty due to the comments was published in Harakahdaily Facebook page even though the writing is the other side.

Following the letter, Harakahdaily had to remove the comment author's name in the list of followers on Facebook.
